P.S Below is a teaser from my first novel, Banana Sandwiches at Novar Drive. Coming soon to a bookshop near you- watch this space!
"They say your future is predetermined from the minute you are born; that you can’t change what has been written in the stars. They say your path is already laid out and all you need to do is walk down it.
Well, I’m going to disagree. I don’t believe in fate. It’s a load of waffle.
If you try hard enough, you really can change your future. My life could have turned out so much worse, if it wasn’t for my own perseverance and drive to succeed. Yes, I know what you’re thinking: I was just lucky that the right opportunities crept into my life when they did.
To some extent, I suppose you’re right. I was lucky that I met certain individuals who made me the woman that I am today - without them, I’m nothing.
However, there’s no greater catalyst on the road to achievement than hard work and commitment. And I’m here today to share my story with you, dear reader; the story of my struggle and the story of my success. So, if you’re seated comfortably, I suppose I’d better begin."
